STAFFING


STAFFING
It is the traditional management function of attraction and selection of the best people and putting them on job s where their talents and skill can be best utilized, and retention of  these people through incentives, job training and job enrichment programmes, in order to achieve  both individual and organizational objectives.
STEPS IN STAFFING PROCESS
1. Manpower Planning
    It is concerned with the forecasting and determination of the manpower requirements of the organisation .    
2. Job Analysis
                It is the breaking up of a job into basic elements or operations.it is a study of the skill,duties,and responsibilities involved in the job and the qualifications required in the worker for the better performance of the job.
3. Recruitment   
                           It is the process of identification of different sources of personnel and stimulating or motivating them to apply for jobs in the organisation.
4. Selection
               It is the process of choosing and appointing the right persons for various jobs.
6. Remuneration
     It involves the determining the wage or salary scales, perks and other monetary benefits to the employees.
8. Performance evaluation
                     It is the periodic measurement and assessment of the behaviour and performance of employees.
